What are the diseases that cause wrist and hand pain?

What is hand osteoarthritis? What is the treatment?

What is DeQuervain disease?

The patient complains of pain on the projection at the thumb. The disease is treated by resting the thumb and local cortisone injection. surgery may be required rarely .

Is the trigger finger a disease?

It is the disease of the internal beam of the fingers. When the finger is bent, it is locked and cannot be straightened. If the finger is forced, it suddenly becomes idle and flattened. Local corticosteroids are injected for treatment. Physical therapy helps to heal. If these are not enough, surgical intervention may solve the problem.
