Diagnosis and Treatment With Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging is used in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and rheumatic diseases. Ultrasound imaging, which uses the reflection of sound waves in the tissues and does not contain any harmful radiation, provides a great advantage in the early diagnosis of many diseases by distinguishing pathological (diseased) tissues from normal tissues. This method demonstrates the bone, muscle, tendon, nerve and vascular structures and plays a role in determining the accurate diagnosis and planning the appropriate treatment.

Ultrasound imaging is used in diagnosis as well as treatment. Detection of pathological and damaged areas by ultrasound increases the success of the interventional procedure. In the treatments applied to the joints and soft tissues, the progression of the needle tip in the tissue is observed during the intervention and allows the application of the process more painless and undamaged. By monitoring the procedure on the screen, the patient can obtain information about the intervention himself.
